There are lots of places to stay in Saugatuck and Douglas. There is a small bed and breakfast just a short walk away from the reception down Campbell Rd. called
the Valentine Lodge. There are the usual suspects also on Blue Star Highway : Holiday Inn Express, AmericInn, etc.

Here is some more information on hotels in the area from the bride's mom for anyone looking into reservations early... (posted 3-29-08)
Valentine Lodge is so close to our house you can walk. Jess talked about maybe
getting a bunch of friends to rent out the whole place. They have a website and you can reserve right on there. Their phone is disconnected for now, I'm sure because they aren't open yet for the season.
Lakeshore Hotel is terrific. It's down the lake from us a couple miles. It has
a pool and large grounds and a terrific beach. A really easy bike ride away but probably not an easy walk in dress clothes. They won't be taking reservations until April 15: 269-857-7121
Timberline Motel is an L-shaped motor lodge with pool. Not too far away but definitely a car ride. It's been there many years and has a good rep. and are open year-round. They should be able to take reservs. now: 269-857-2147
Beachway is several different buildings and types of lodging, from hotel rooms to condos with 4 bedrooms. They are on our side of the inland lake so it isn't a long distance to our house. Jess will know. It's on the way to the Oval beach and right where the chain ferry crosses over to town. We know the owners and they have been around a long time. 269-857-3331
Captain's Quarters is a little place that has been renovated and the new owners have done a lot to it. Only a short drive away north of town on the Blue Star. 800-499-2929
Then there is the Best Western 269-857-7178 and Americinn 800-634-3444, both are chain hotels and have been in town for several years, with no bad report. Both are just a short drive
away from us on the Blue Star.
